Seosamh Ó Cuaig</a> <body> <center><table width=600> <tr> <td valign=top> <font face=arial><font size=4><b>ROAD PROPOSAL</b> <p> <font size=2><b>Councillor Seosamh Ó Cuaig</b> has said that the proposai that a new top-ciass road shouid be developed from west Connemara to Gaiway city 110W has the full backing of the County Councild's roads committee. The matter was again discussed at length as a meeting of the County Council Roads and Transportation committee last week. <b>Councillor Ó Cuaig</b> is the Chairman of this committee. <p> <b>Councillor Ó Cuaig</b> said that the Director of Services for Roads in Galway was to discuss the preparation of a preliminary plan for the Connemara Road Project with Department of the Environment staff at the earhest opportunity. <p> <b>Councillor O Cuaig</b> said that the plan must ensure that the Connemara Road Project will take in a route from west Connemara to the city. <p> "We must ensure that Ros a MhíI harbour is in the plan, but we must also realise that there are other important marine industries much further west in Connemara. We cannot end the road in Ros a Mhíl" he said. <p> The proposed Connemara Road Project has now been included on the County Development Board's list of priorities.
