Councillor Seosamh Ó Cuaig has reported that Údarás na Gaeltachta have earmarked €O.25m. for office space and facilities on the Industrial Estate in Carna. Councillor Ó Cuaig, who is also a member of the Údarás na Gaeltaehta Board, said that there was no precise time given yet as to when the money would be spent.

"There has been an ongoing effort to have a technology centre based in Carna and that could be one aspect of the package. We must move forward fast to look at any possible opportuntity to create a broader range of work around here."
